WHO IS REQUIRED TO LEARN CPR UNDER

While everyone should learn Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) New York State Law requires that the following professions / businesses have employees trained in CPR:

  • Assisted Living Facilities
  • Public and Private Golf Courses
  • School Athletic Coaches
  • Paramedics, EMTs, First Responders
  • Amusement Park Staff 
  • Elder Services Staff
  • Nurses & Nursing Students
  • Pharmacists
  • Child Care / Daycare Staff
  • Dentists / Doctors
  • Substance Abuse Medical Staff
  • Personnel Trainers / Health Club Employees
  • High School Heath Education Teachers
  • School Staff
  • Hospital Staff
  • Massage Therapists
  • Lifeguards (According to the NYS Department of Health The AHA BLS For The Healthcare Provider Course Meets All Requirements – Students MUST recertify on an ANNUAL Basis regardless of Expiration Date)
  • Railroad Personnel & Station Staff
  • Camp Counselors / Camp Staff
  • Polysomnographic Technicians
  • Chiropractors
